Zanthus Privacy Policy

Zanthus, established in 2000, is a market research-based consulting firm.

Research Information

By default and design, Zanthus grants confidentiality for all information collected from research participants. The only personal information actively collected by Zanthus is that which is voluntarily provided. Zanthus does not place files or programs such as ‘cookies’ on an individual’s computer while they are visiting our Web site or taking our survey for the purposes of collecting information. Individual browsers may send limited system information such as IP addresses and originating Web sites; this information may be viewed to help understand how our Web site is used.

Personal information is safeguarded on secure systems and is used only for stated and intended research purposes. Personal information provided to Zanthus is confidential and combined with information gathered from other survey participants to be shown only in the aggregate unless otherwise evident within the survey. If we indicate that personal information may be included in the research findings, we ensure the information is treated with the strictest of confidence.

As a member of the Marketing Research Association (MRA), the professional association of marketing research companies, Zanthus adheres to the mandated MRA Code of Standards and Ethics for Survey Research. This code includes requirements for protection of personal information and respondent identifying information. For more information, please visit MRA Code at www.mra-net.org.

Data Processing

Only authorized Zanthus employees, vendors, contractors or partners carrying out authorized business functions are allowed to access our data or databases.

Vendors, contractors, or partners who have access to survey information in connection with providing services to Zanthus are required, at a minimum, to sign a Confidentiality Agreement. The Confidentiality Agreement requires them to keep the information confidential; they are not permitted to use this information for any purpose other than to carry out the services they perform for Zanthus.

Information Security

Zanthus is committed to keeping personal data secure and takes all reasonable precautions to protect personal information from loss, misuse or alteration. The data are stored on internal network servers protected by firewalls and other appropriate security mechanisms. In this way, all personal data are secured against access by third parties and/or unauthorized individuals or organizations.

Children’s Privacy

Zanthus adheres to the 1998 Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act and does not collect personal data from children under the age of thirteen without the express approval of their parents or guardians. If Zanthus requires survey information from children, we contact their parents or guardians to give the proper consent and arrange the research activities. Further, we encourage parents or guardians to closely monitor and/or participate in the survey activities as appropriate.
